I wasn’t entirely comfortable with the The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe when it appeared in 2005. I grew up loving the BBC’s late 1980s adaptation and couldn’t shake it off as I watched Andrew Adamson’s take on the story. Add to that a large score with jarring contemporary elements, songs even, and I was left feeling a little… I don’t know, prickly... That said I still bought the collector’s edition album of Harry Gregson-Williams’ music on the proviso that it had an extra ten minutes of score. When I discovered that the line-up was exactly the same as the cheaper edition I was even...

The Music from the Movies web site just keeps getting bigger and bigger and regularly attracts thousands of vistors every week. We now have a database of over 7000 CD releases, and we have reviews for nearly 2900 of them! In addition we have over 1450 composers listed and add a news article, on average, every 48 hours!

All change: During the next few weeks the MFTM web site is having a radical makeover, with a brand new look. However, the changes will be more than skin deep, with some fantastic new features, many of which will be only available to subscribers... stay tuned for updates!
